In a six-month randomized clinical trial, researchers found that time-restricted eating (TRE) was more effective than daily calorie restriction for weight loss and equally effective in regulating glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. The study suggests TRE could be a simpler and more easily adhered to dietary strategy for managing the condition.
