Recent study in Scientific Reports finds a link between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and a higher risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) among healthy Korean adults. The research suggests that NAFLD may contribute to a hypercoagulable state, increasing the risk of VTE.
