Keck Medicine of USC is conducting a clinical trial to determine if a low-carbohydrate, anti-inflammatory diet combined with a medical food raising blood ketone levels can alleviate symptoms of long COVID. The study, based on the theory that prolonged inflammation post-COVID infection causes the syndrome, aims to examine the diet’s efficacy in reducing inflammation and improving patients’ health.
