Study identifies key markers for early detection of fatty liver disease in obese and non-obese individuals

In a study published in ‘Scientific Reports’, researchers found that insulin resistance markers TyG-BMI and HOMA-IR effectively predict non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) risks in non-obese and obese individuals without diabetes, respectively. These findings suggest new, non-invasive methods for early NAFLD detection, particularly in atypical non-obese cases.
